Once the host is in the server playing as a character and if nothings conflicts with the two computers from communicating with each other, then the other player SHOULD be able to see the server name pop up in the LAN tab in their Browse Games screen. Whoever one of you wants to Host the server, this is where you'll do it. Host Game - brings you to the Host Game screen where you can start up a server to host. Who ever one of you wants to join the other that hosts the server, they should click Browse Games and wait in the LAN tab.

I'll try and explain each button to help you figure out how to join a Survival LAN server with your friend.Д®nter the Forge - any servers joined in this section of the game will all be in The Forge mode, where you battle monsters.Д«rowse Games - brings you to the server listВ of the default DST games currently activeВ (Survival, Endless, Wilderness, etc). You just have to be aware of the buttons to click in the main menu. It's a bit confusing at first but people can still host a normal DST server to play on with friends and have the default DST experience. So if I am playing one that won't allow me to host a LAN game, I don't even know how to get my hands on the original that is in fact the Don't Starve Together The Forge Menu which everyone has currently, it's the existing public build of the game. However, I didn't see more than one version of Don't Starve Together while browsing the Steam store. I will attach a picture of what the menu screen looks like, and maybe you can help me identify if this is the Forge version of the game. Anyway,В there is an option to start aВ 'Local Only'В game on the version I have, so I'd sure hope that I would be able to use it.

I am not sure if I'm playing TheВ Forge, or the regular version because the name of the game is just 'Don't Starve Together', but the picture reads 'Don't Starve Together The Forge'. I purchased the Don't Starve MEGA pack from Steam. I have also disabled all antivirus programs. I have tried leaving them both online and it still didn't work. But yes, I am trying to start a Local Only, Cooperative, Survival server.Д«oth computers are connected to the same Wifi network.

this is why I figured there was nothing wrong with my docking station since I've seen it work for a small amount of time.Thanks for the warm welcome. if you switch the switch from a working docking station to my broken docking station, somehow it keeps working for about 30 seconds. Update: I bought a new official AC adapter, but no luck, still doesnt work. but how could this be related to the issue? The only thing I can think of, that it is somehow a power supply issue, because I didn't bring my own power supply to my friends home. Also, controllers are charging via these USB ports as well. Its seems logical that my docking station is broken, but the weird thing is that I've tested my docking station at my friends place, and it worked just fine. I brought a friend to help debugging at my home, and he connected the lan adapter directly to the switch in handheld mode, and weirdly enough. I received a new modem, the problem was still there. So the lan adapter, hdmi cable, my switch and the docking stations seems to be working fine.ДЄt this point I thought it was a modem related issue.

I brought my switch + docking station and hdmi cable to a friend of mine, I connected the lan adapter to his modem and tv and it worked. I bought an officially licenced lan adapter to play Smash Online on the switch, but for some reason, it doesn't work. Allright, i've got a really weird problem.
